Recently Adobe announced the decision to retire Adobe Flash since it was one of the primary reasons for malware and other security threats. Adobe Flash will be available till 2020. Now if you are using Microsoft Edge browser and not able to see the flash, then you need to enable Adobe flash player on Microsoft Edge. In this post, we will show. Flash led the way on the web for rich content, gaming, animations, and media of all kinds, and inspired many of the current web standards powering HTML5. How to enable flash on edge 2021

Adobe will end support of Flash Player on December 31, 2020. Here's what you can expect in the meantime for each Microsoft browser:

Enable Flash Microsoft Edge

In the next version of Microsoft Edge (built on Chromium), Flash will be disabled by default. However, users may re-enable it on a site-by-site basis. The timeline for Chromium-based browsers can be found here.

Flash will not be disabled by default from Microsoft Edge (built on EdgeHTML) or Internet Explorer 11 prior to its removal by December of 2020.

Flash will be completely removed from all browsers by December 31, 2020, via Windows Update. Group policies are available for enterprise admins and IT pros to change the Flash behavior prior to that date.

Companies reliant on Flash for development and playback of content are encouraged to remove the dependency on Adobe Flash prior to December 2020.

Here’s how to allow or block Flash permanently for individual websites:

  1. Go to Settings and more > Settings .

  2. In the left navigation, select Site permissions.

  3. In Site permissions, select Adobe Flash.

  4. Set the toggle on for the Ask before running Flash option.

The Block and Allow lists will be available after you visit a site that uses Flash.

The next time you visit a site the uses Flash, the browser will ask for your permission before allowing Flash to run.
